Black Alpine Salamander

Glad to see one of these today as they are quite rare. Apparently they give birth to live young. Their pregnancies can last from two to three years, (imagine that) depending on the altitude at which the salamanders live. They typically give birth to two fully developed young. Their life expectancy is 10 to even 20 years.
I opted for "Sally" rather than a lovely wild dog foxwho I also met today.
