Hamlet again :)
Mary and I had a bit of dinner at OT then went to see Hamlet on the big screen as part of the National Theatre Live Encore screenings. NTL is a National Theatre project to broadcast the best of British theatre live from the London stage to cinemas across the world, it's a brilliant idea and just makes theatre, ballet and opera so much more accessible, giving people who normally wouldn't get a chance to see it the opportunity.
I've been lucky enough to do both this time and it was such a different experience from seeing Hamlet in the flesh, not better or worse just a completely different vibe, you don't really get the scale of the production and how incredible the set is but you do get closeup on the actors, see more of the nuances - which if Mags and I hadn't had 2nd Row tickets at the Barbican first time around would have made a huge difference - it was excellent and I totally recommend going to more of the NTL screenings!
