Anti-Autumn

Enjoying blippers' posts of autumnal scenes and colours, I realised that there's nothing of the sort here in Malacca. Just brown dried dead leaves as always.

Noticed two other things as well:
1. As the winter solstice approaches the sun rises earlier, waking me up earlier. I recall it suddenly rising later in January, making me late for prefect's duty.
2. Some birds will eventually come to my window and chatter noisily when I'm sleeping in too late, as if to say "enough already, get the hell up!" I noticed this morning it was four magpies fighting.
