The Terrible Twins!

It's actually 27 June 2012 today, but I've uploaded this pic that I took in March, because I want you all to meet Aneko:)

Aneko is a husky that I adopted on 24 Sep 2011 from Husky Rescue South Africa. She was abused and abandoned and was so terrified of people when I met her that I couldn't get close enough to put a collar around her neck. She's about 2 1/2 yrs old. Paddington initially ignored her and Baloo tried his best to chase her away by barking his head off everytime she looked at him!

By the 5th day there was suddenly silence... As I looked outside, I saw Baloo and Aneko running and wrestling on the lawn and I knew: Aneko's adoption papers had been signed!!:) It took Paddington much longer to get used to her, but once he realised that Baloo was excluding him n favour of Aneko, he had a change of heart and welcomed her to the famlily.

She's come a very long way in the past 9 months and now wears a harness when we go walking. She loves doing obedience work with me and is developing a pretty solid recall too... She'll never be a lapdog (some cruel human in her past made very sure of that), but she's now a solid part of the family and Baloo's best friend!

Paddington turned 3 yrs old yesterday and has taken up agility training since my last bip a year ago... He's such a nerd and I love him to bits! Baloo has found his niche with bike-joering (I attached him to the mountain bike with a bungy lead, then we go tearing up and down the dirt track at the husky club)... He's one big fluffy hooligan with an unrivalled lust for life!

This pic is just a typical day in the life of Baloo and Aneko... Wrestling, playing, chasing and generally being wild. Love it!:)))))
