Mystery

In the middle of the village this in itself rather "ugly" concrete silo building was suddenly surrounded by scaffolding and a crane and as one can see the roof is in the process of being worked on.

Not all sure what is planned - on the first silo tower there is a shining stainless steel chimney, a window and a door, none of which I had ever noticed before so assumed they were new. As silo storage is nowadays hardly ever used (it was very dangerous, even deadly if one fell in as the gases caused almost instantaneous death.

So I assumed that someone was about to do a very interesting refurb of the towers and perhaps turn them in to a very interesting domicile.

Turns out it is being demolished even - the incredily careful piece by piece taking down the wood roof timbers seems rather overdone given that it was later all sawn up when on the ground. The chimney had been there for a while it seems - a sauna!
