New Zealand War Memorial

Another day spent wandering the streets of our capital city. This was the first time I have seen this memorial, even though it was unveiled in 2006 by the Queen. Its located on the Piccadilly side of Hyde Park Corner.

The memorial was established to commemorate "the enduring bond between New Zealand and the United Kingdom", and the lives lost by the two countries during the two World Wars.
