Strange
My friend is renovating her house which is over 100yrs old. Her husband came across this face in the plaster work of the outside wall. It is slightly larger than a pound coin.
The local paper ran an article about it and they seem to think it is a piece of scrimshaw art, which was common practice in the late 19th century for sailors to carve & engrave in bone or Ivory.
In other news, the baby shower I attended on Tuesday has now been born, a little girl this morning. A wee bit early but healthy 8lbs 11oz! Poor mum only ended up with 3 days maternity leave, not much chance to rest :)
