Another Grey Day, Muddy and Ratty Too

I went to Hitchin to collect a sax from the repairer and came home on the B1000. I decided to stop at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel. I had a lovely latte in the elegant restaurant in my wellies and then went into the hide. I saw a grey wagtail, coal tit, great spotted woodpecker, buzzard and kingfisher.

Ratty the water vole looked very bedraggled. The water level has been lowered in the hope of attracting waders. It doesn't suit the kingfisher, which just flew through and I don't think Ratty likes the thick mud.
