Guy Fawkes bonfire

Someone who has been working in the grounds of our local Quaker Meeting House had built up a big pile of rubbish (in the orchard, not the burial ground!) that he decided could be burnt to celebrate Guy Fawkes' unsuccessful attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament; the neighbours could not complain tonight because he was performing a patriotic duty!
