Yet another foggy day
A seat that won't get sat on.
If sun should feed our summer souls
This one they won't get fat on.
Yet another foggy day,
Just foxgloves show it's June.
If this is summer then I'd say
Its end can't come too soon.
Perhaps when summer's over
And September's underway,
Just maybe we might live to see
Another sunny day.

Thanks for your kind comments yesterday, which I've passed on to Matilda. You'll be pleased to know that I did get some writing done. One spin-off to this cold, damp fog is that I'm not tempted outdoors when I should be working.
PS If you look carefully, you'll spot that it isn't 'just' foxgloves, there's a bit of campanula trailing the wall, too.
