Fallen leaves

Autumn was so pretty last week, but just look at it now! Leaves that then were glowing in the sunlight are now just a sodden mass on the pavement below.

It was blowing half a gale and pouring with rain when I ventured down to the village. I feel so sorry for people who have spent time planning their giant bonfire nights because even though the forecast is for it to stop raining by this evening, everything is going to be very wet.
