Singapore Sling

I landed in Singapore at 1430.  I went straight to a work meeting.

Later we went downtown to the Shangrila  Restaurant for a formal dinner. This was preceded by a drinks reception at The British High Commissioner's Residence.

My view shows the lush tropical garden and the veranda that has little changed since those heady Colonial days. 

It was too humid for the function to take place outside.

I always find it strange coming home for bed as the UK day is just beginning. Singapore is 8 hours ahead of GMT.
