This is for everyone experiencing a grey day - you don't get more colourful than this! Freshly painted a wild canary yellow and royal blue this little cottage makes me smile every time I pass it. And very suitable as a prompt for Derelict Sunday for it is made out of stones from a much older cottage and was recycled in the 1930s - dereliction made good.
Warm and sunny here but plagued with fruit flies. Gales and rain on its way though.
What a great evening we had last night. Three real masters of their art playing their hearts out in Skibbereen town hall. First up Kevin Burke who played an astonishing variety of tunes from classical to trad Irish to Cajun to jazz, all with his own unique interpretation. Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill then did their set - talk about masterful, passionate and totally engaging. We were then treated to all three of them playing an immaculate set. Wow.
Yes - Derelict Sunday tomorrow. Well done to those people who've already got sorted during the week. Good hunting and tag DS3 or derelictsunday3 please.
It's all go - we're now off to see Brooklyn starring Soirse Ronan. I loved the book so will report back.
Enjoy a bit of Kevin Burke whilst browsing.
