A Long Wait
The queue to get into the book fair at Brive began early today. This was at 9.30am, and the line stretched half a kilometre up the road. It only got longer as the day wore on and the temperature soared to 26C - unheard of for this time of year. In the grande salle I'm sure the temperature went into the 30s. It's now late afternoon, and after signing literally hundreds of books in the heat I am completely washed out!
