Best Laid Plans
This time of year always seems to go a little mad - lots of things on at school and preparing for the holidays. I've appointments for hair, nails and waxing - it's not good when there's the chance that you might uncover in the sun and you've been wrapped in winter woollies for the last 8 months! So much to do and so little time so it really put a spanner in the works when I got a phone call, yesterday, at work (just as I was trying to tidy things up in preparation for almost 3 weeks holiday). Josh had fallen in the playground and hurt his wrist, could I come and take him to the hospital to have it checked. I must admit all I could think was, please don't let it be broken, how sad will he be on holiday with a stookie and what will I do with him, he spends at least 2 hours a day in the pool when we're away. After almost 4 hours in A&E I'm pleased to report that nothing was broken but I had missed my nail appointment, delivering a birthday present and doing a little shopping.
I know this sounds a little hysterical and to be honest that's how I feel just now - using this as therapy, so breath, finished at work today having managed to do everything I needed to, nail appointment rearranged and Josh back to his old bouncy self. If I apply myself tomorrow everything will be back on track for hols, can't wait to get away!
