Gathering

Pip, Shaw and Breagh posingish in front of the view for me. We had a phone call last night from the farmer who cancelled his gather on Thursday asking if we could gather today. So we did! Bit of an early start (5.00am) to get there in time. Worried as we drove up as the weather was a bit dodgy. As you can see from the photo. But the day progressively improved to being in lovely winter sunshine by the afternoon.

This is our old stomping ground in fact we were working out we have been gathering for this farmer for 8 Years! We used to rent two fields on the other side of that beach and actually got married in the sculpture walk in the trees by the buildings in the middle ground of the photo. Its been  long day with tired dogs and some very naughty sheep. Had Breagh working a great distance away today using her new look back command. To me the sheep were white specs and she was a black spec all the way in the distance.

After gathering we dropped into a friends with a dog bed they had left behind with us and another friend turned up so quick catch up. Then drove up the road a couple of miles and met some more friends on the roadside and stopped to chat with them. Then someone else we knew drove up behind where we were blocking the road and low and behold another person we knew came behind them!! We do miss our friends from the north end of the Island. Lots of laughs before unblocking the road and heading home!! Good job its winter and we didn't hold up the poor tourists who are always in such a rush.
