Yesterday-Today- Tomorrow

The bushes of the Franciscea (Bruntsfelsia Uniflora) line the slopes of the tea plantations beside a crater lake in the hilly regions of the south of Mauritius. At first the flowers of the Franciscea are purple, then turn lilac and finally fade to white giving its name of Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow. After watching all the stages of tea production and packaging we had been given the opportunity of sampling twelve varieties of tea, served with little biscuits which tasted much nicer than those made from cassava which we had seen being made earlier.
