Big Skies

Two nights back down in Christchurch. We have another bout in the ring with the insurers tomorrow, fighting for progress on earthquake repairs. Its now over 5 years and 2 months since the first earthquake, and still we have no repair strategy tabled, and no costs, let alone an actual date for the repair work to start.
But its good to be down again, its beginning to feel like coming on holiday rather than back "home". It was glorious sitting in the warm sun on the deck, with the sound of the sea and the gulls, and up in the trees behind us were bellbirds, silvereyes and goldfinches.
