Remembrance

Every year on Remembrance Sunday there's a parade which passes the end of our street..

This gave me the chance to take some photos of the band and the marchers. In the end I chose this one to blip. I don't know this lad at all, but I thought his demeanour summed up the dignity of the day. His youth reminds us of the fact that the majority of the men and women who lose their lives defending peace and freedom are young, with their lives ahead of them. Such a waste.
