Västerås Flying Club
Flygklubb accommodation appears inter alia to stimulate interest and develop the private motor flight.
Flying club was founded in 1935 and held the first four years of the Hässlö before the club moved to its current premises at Johannisberg Airfield.
Today the Club consists of 142 active flying members and the club takes in the current situation 3 PA 28 and a Katana DV20. The club is also possible to rent a PA-18 Super Cub owned by Westman Flight.
In Västerås flying club, there PPL training with both theoretical knowledge and practical flight and the school also dark. It also held tight races where landing and navigation contests.
Johannisbergs airport has one runway (05-23), which is 850 meters long and 23 meters wide and this runway is equipped with banbelysning that comes with the carrier. Along the path there 05-23 strings (05-23) running along the entire path. There is also a string of intersecting direction (16-34) used for internal purposes.
