Wingberger Mill

In 1844, the Wing Berger Mill (then Epermolen) by Pieter Joseph Lintzen itself built on a piece of land lying in the river the Geul.
Where the name Wing Berger Mill exact origin is unclear. It is possible that the mill takes its name from the Limburg word for wind, "Wing". A second possibility is that the name derives from the name of the wine bush "De Wingerd" who grew up here in Roman times.
The Geul makes a short distance above the mill a sharp turn. Precisely in that corner of the dug mill connected. As a result searched the Geul Water naturally straight on his way to the waterwheel. It was and still is an authentic water mill of Limburg, where grain was ground initially.
