Cenotaph Bredbury
A pleasing turnout at the Remembrance Day Service at Bredbury.
When I was little, my school which stood opposite, used to send a wreath to lay at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. The honour always went to the youngest and the oldest child in the school. How I always wanted to be one of them. The nearest I got was being a flag bearer with the Brownies.
The word cenotaph describes a memorial to those whose remains are interred elsewhere, or whose remains are unrecovered.
I liked this so much I borrowed it from Blipper dollydoug
