Blackscroft Auto Centre
12.4C starting dull and dry. Rain, sometimes heavy, through the afternoon and evening. Wind to 25 mph with gusts to 38 mph..
Grocery shopping this morning at Sainsburys and in M&S at City Quay/Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee then we got Maeve the Deerhound from the car and had a walk round to some old buildings nearby which we have looked at before for photo possibilities. There are broken windows, boarded windows, graffiti, interesting old gates and metal window frames. I think at least one of the buildings is another former Jute Mill. The Blackscroft Auto Centre in a smaller stone building caught my attention today for Derelict Sunday hosted by Freespiral. Having just used the map feature to note the spot where I took the photo I couldn't help but notice the nearby main road is called Blackscroft !
Before lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve for a walk. We went down to the shore road and back home in a loop of about two miles. The rain was just starting properly just before we got home.
After lunch we got the container with our new art supplies and settled down at the kitchen table for a couple of hours to make a start. Something new for us inspired by a book Apothecary7 found in the Oxfam bookshop in Dundee recently. I think we have made a good start. First stages of things are drying ...

Note: I think it looks pretty good against the black background in large !
