Apples

Spent the day doing a lot of the chores I was too idle to do yesterday; but then we had a surprise and most welcome visit from the lovely Rory McLeod. We hadn't met up for years, so it was a real pleasure to sit having a fine blether and catch-up over a cup of tea and a delicious slice of Claire's apple cake. He was doing a gig to do in town tonight, although we didn't go up due to being boring old f*rts who have to get up too early in the mornings for various work duties.

He'd been out amongst his local community orchards in the Borders yesterday, so left us with a mixed bag of apples. We decanted a miniature's worth of cask 3.248 for him to try once he got home.
