for an Irish Sea Gale

At first light I was out walking.  The wind was increasing all the time.  As I approached the end of the walk and was contemplating my breakfast (Staffordshire oatcakes) I realised that I had not tied down my beehives in readiness for awful weather.

So the last job  of the bee keeping year was completed just as it was beginning to rain.

After that the day was a write off so far as the weather was concerned...
