Low atmospheric pressure

I was told this was the leading edge of a deep depression ! resulting in strong winds and heavy rain.  Well despite the dramatic setting sun at 16.45, I'm heading for a deep depression after viewing the week's weather on BBC's Countryfile which forecast constant rain for us until at least Wednesday.
