Remembrance Day

We rang half muffled bells today in order to mark Remembrance Sunday. http://wiki.changeringing.co.uk/Muffling_Bells. That was the first time I had rung like that, and they definitely have a more mournful sound, fitting for the occasion.

I had to recreate the Bat Den for Leo today and he was especially pleased that I let him eat his Sunday lunch in there! I have a feeling that I may well be building it over and over!

His school literacy homework was to select a hero and prep ready to tell the class all about it later in the week. He chose Johnson Beharry and was really interested in learning all about the Victoria Cross
