Palm Pruning

Did you know that they prune palm trees? I had no idea... I guess I thought they just, y'know, moulted or something. If plants moulted. Yeah, I'm clueless.

So out in the courtyard outside the apartment, the palms on one side have been pruned, and the ones on the other are still scruffy. I tried to get a shot contrasting the two, but couldn't find access to a good angle. This is as close as I got.
