We're back pitchers!!

While cricket fans were at the Gabba watching the Test match, Ikon was smashing 6's at the Brisbane Media Bash 2015 to celebrate the beginning of the Big Bash over the summer!!
 
The bash consisted of 6 media agency teams battling each other (and the heat) for the ultimate Media Bash 2015 crown. Thanks to the rain, outdoor cricket had to become indoor cricket. Each team were decked out in awesome, coloured, team uniforms with the team name on the back and hats.
 
Ikon Son's of Pitchers - a fitting name - put in a great team effort, smashing 6's and 4's and bowling straight balls! A loss in the first game against MediaCom by a few runs but a win in the second game against Starcom/ZO was unfortunately not enough to secure a spot in the finals. Training has already begun for next year as a result ;)
 
A big congratulations to Carat for taking out the title. A massive thank you to SCTen, MCN and Ten for putting together such a great comp and Monica Boundy for having everything run so smoothly on the day!
 
Time to go buy some spots in the Big Bash. Because if this season opener was anything to go by, we are in for big things.
