Emerging at speed

Or so it looks. I have blipped this sculpture before (almost four and a half years ago), and today I saw it rather differently due to all the leaves on a tree near to the "gate" into the Grey Lynn Park from the Grey Lynn Sculpture Trail which winds through a small area of native trees and shrubs. 

The sculpture (by Inia Taylor) is called On the backs of others. Sparrows are nesting in the pieces of sculpture attached to the upright poles of the gate (unseen in this photo, apart from the very top of the poles; the whole gate can be seen here)
