Shepherd's pie

You can tell it's been a quiet working at home day when the day's blip is of home cooked food. However, this shepherd's pie was perfect for a dull damp day that felt colder than it actually was. Now, here's a question that's just occurred to me - I've put an apostrophe in Shepherd's pie, but does it in fact need one? Discuss.
