Lovely Latvia

Being a fan of both random travels and Eastern Europe, a very last minute birthday trip to Latvia seemed a good idea.

The biting wind was a shock to the system for a body that has acclimatised to the tropics. Yet Latvia is lovely - obscure and overlooked probably - but ordered, pretty, quiet and with lots of stodgy hearty food.
