Killer granadilla

The granadilla we planted a year ago obviously like being abandoned for many months. One of the first things I saw when I went out into the garden after being away for 7 months, was that it had covered half of the wall and strangled a lovely indigenous Cape pincushion plant. It helps that it is carrying more fruit than we can eat, and is covered in new purple and white flowers that will produce even more fruit, but I liked the pincushion with its spiky orange flowers. I cut back the killer, and hope the pincushion will be reborn. Otherwise I will have to get a new one...
