Shears

These are a pair of old dagging shears, used to trim the wool of sheep. I've had this pair since I started agricultural college at 16, maybe even before then. They have been blunt for quite a while and are quite heavy, I now use a lighter pair.

I find it hard to believe that shearers of old used to uses these to shear sheep, before the electric shearers were invented, and that they could be fast and get the whole fleece off in one lump.
