Spindle!

This is the spindle, or axle support for their wheel, which will adorn Princes Street until after Christmas. It seems that almost all big towns have them these days
You would think they would lose their appeal as the novelty value disappears, but it would seem not.
Mind you they are not my favourite form of transport. I don't like the feeling as you go over the tip!
