Promised

We did get the rain we were promised and I took very few pictures today.

I did, however, go to a good yoga class and have a great lunch with 3 friends - probably 3 of the easiest people to be with that are not family. I've known them for 20 years , 3 years and less than a year, but the chemistry is good between us.  The lunch was good too!  

Stuffed peppers in the oven.  Fresh baked chocolate chip brownies cooling.
Good rainy night.

My sorrow, when she's here with me, thinks these dark days of autumn rain are beautiful as days can be; she loves the bare, the withered tree; she walks the sodden pasture lane.
