Precious memories

I posted a blip on Sunday of my uncle's grave in the cemetery in Bannockburn. These few bits and pieces, his university degree and a few more photos are as far as I know all the evidence that remains of his short life. The crochet poppy is my modern addition. My granny kept a couple of letters, and his medal, posted to her in the box after his death. My mum, knowing my interest in family history, passed them to me. She is 91 tomorrow, and I've no doubt when I see her at the weekend we will talk about Edward. The memories live on.
