The Old Steps

The old steps leading up to the part of our garden which is really a bit of a field. They look much older than the house and may belong to the era when a wooden bungalow stood on the plot. We have a photograph showing that it gloried in the name of Tribes Cottage. For years we imagined a family with hordes of kids, but in fact Tribes is a local names and there are still descendents in the village. I love the untidy daisies and golden thyme which grow in abundance on the steps. We've tried tidying, but it's just not right! My excuse, anyway....
