Yesterday Eg finished his last GCSE exam. Today he went to his 6th form induction where uniform was no longer required.
I have spent 15 years scooping uniform off the floor where it had been abandoned by my ( badly trained ) boys. This was not a chore which ever brought me any degree of pleasure....why then the rush of mixed emotion when I approached this final discarded blazer ?
