Canter

When I first got Lina (in July) she was unfit and overweight, because she's a 5 gaited horse (walk, trot, canter, tolt and pace) sometimes this can get a bit tricky and gaits can get "lost".

In Lina's case this was canter, she's prone to holding her back hollow (weight/fitness not helping) and therefore not engaging behind properly so she found it much easier to pace than canter.

Today she gave me a whole fields length of lovely uninterrupted canter and didn't feel pacey once - it felt like a huge achievement :D
