Vale of Pickering

Took advantage of the morning sunshine for a bright but breezy bike ride.

This is the view over the Vale of Pickering back to the villages at the foot of the North York Moors. The first letter of each settlement spell SWAMP (Sinnington, Wrelton, Aislaby, Middleton and Pickering) and this is what this area used to be. Today it is farm land and these tractors were busy ploughing and sowing before the storms arrive.
