Midsummer eve

We had a blast. Maybe the best midsummer I've ever had.

We took a boat from Padasjoki into island Kelvenne, located in Päijänne National Park.

We thought to have a 2km hike to 'Hinttolanhiekka' - a cozy beach on the east bank of the island. Instead we decided to have 20m hike from the dock. Leaving the gear down we found out almost perfect spots for our tents.

And there was a small beach for the kids to enjoy. The water was so cold that we did not enjoy that much - yet not cold enough to skip swimming!

A perfect day - a full day 'in the wild'.
