Aviation museum at Shoreham Airport.

Martin Baker Mk.1C ejection seat used in Canberra aircraft in the 50's and 60's as well as Service aircraft. It was trialled in 1947 leading to a successful ejection at 12,000 feet at a speed of 420mph. (Glad it wasn't me.)

I met a friend in Shoreham today and we had lunch in the very nice restaurant at the airport (properly known as Brighton City Airport, though nobody here calls it that).  There were a few helicoptors taking off and landing but we saw only one light plane - too windy.

Extra blips - the art deco airport building, and a trawler coming into Shoreham harbour.
