Our house in the middle of our...flood

Got home after a journey of an hour and a half (should take 20 mins) to this river where the street used to be! It didn't get into the house but some others weren't so lucky. I tried to unblock the drains but not much helped and it kept raining! I have never seen a storm like that ever! All the roads in Newcastle were closed, the metro and train tracks are flooded, IKEA and the Metrocentre (shopping mall) have also flooded! I know England is renowned for rain but this is ridiculous!

Once in a lifetime event I hope!
