All Aboard!

Blip mate and I went to the Mapua Wharf this morning and were surprised at just how busy it was with lots of boats coming and going.

This is the Mapua Ferry which mainly takes cyclists and their bikes across to Rabbit Island - which you can see beyond the ferry. It takes all of 10 minutes but is an essential trip if you want to continue on the cycle trail. It does the return trip at hourly intervals through the day.

This was the first trip of the day, and was well patronised . My eye was caught by this family  wheeling their cycles on board. What a lovely family outing it will be for them, cycling through the pine plantations  of Rabbit Island. I hope they brought a picnic lunch to have on one of the beaches.

There was the oddest looking sky to the West and I have included a pic showing the cloud formations in the extras.
