American Kestrel

Our smallest falcon, probably a male, flying from one telephone pole to another.  We were driving from Green Valley to Sierra Vista (AZ), where we are spending the night.   After checking into our hotel, we spent the late afternoon around the San Pedro River House, with fairly typical birds. The best was our first loggerhead shrike for the trip.

As I put this up we learned more about the monstrous attacks in Paris. Our hearts go out to the people of that wonderful city and to all of the French.
