A Rose as Sweet
No apologies for today's blip, I know there are thousands of similar shots out there, but it sums up the best of today ... if only they had invented smell-a-vision, 'cos that's what this rose, and others like it in the gardens at Grey's Court near Henley, are all about.
These old species gave off a heady scent and bought back memories of my Nana's garden full of shrub roses. My sister and I spent many a long summer's day collecting the petals to make our version of a rose water perfume.
