Pearly underwing

Sadly, I think this may be my last moth offering of the year!
I am so looking forward to starting next year's season....it's only 16 weeks away!
This moth is a pearly underwing Peridroma saucia, a migrant species which visits Britain in varying numbers each year. Although it can occur almost anywhere in Britain it is most common in the south and most frequent between September and October.
The larvae which are usually not found in Britain are believed to feed on a number of herbaceous plants.
