Winter Droving

A complicated day, too much going wrong! I didn't mean to set fire to the cooker.  One of the good things was having a large brolly to shield the camera from the rain during the Winter Droving Lantern procession in town tonight.

This is the official start of Christmas in Penrith with these huge animal faces lit up, so appropriate for a farming community. This used to be such a major time of year when I had the shop. Now I find myself rearranging displays at garden centres. Sad!
