The Lions Roar

This morning Arvin and I went to a benefit breakfast for the Alzheimer's Society of Washington, our wonderful local group, put on my the Lions' Club. This gal was at the front door of Applebee's where the event was held. For $10 each we got a yummy pancake and scrambled egg breakfast. Half the cost went to the Alzheimer's Society and half to the restaurant to pay for the breakfast. All tips went to the AS too as we were waited on by Lions. This was the only one who looked the part. We had a great time and enjoyed visiting with our friends.

Afterwards we went to see our friend and hairdresser Miki, who took care of our hair. Then we picked up Helena and went shopping. It was gray all day, a perfect day to spend doing indoor activities.

Now we are relaxing at home before dinner. I'm making crab cakes, shrimp and veggies. Should be yummy.
